Pourquoi Tales

For English task some months ago, we had to make a pourquoi tale. In French, Pourquoi means Why. So, we had to make a fiction story which its title is a question that begins with "Why".
This is the story that me and my classmate, Vita, wrote. Remember, it's all fiction. ;)

Why Do Sunflowers Always Follow The Sun?

A long time ago, there was a beautiful princess lived in a splendid castle in France. She was the only daughter of the king who ruled Fleur kingdom since the queen died. All the people in the kingdom loved both the king and the princess, especially the princess because she was lovely, generous, kind, friendly and graceful. And they also respected them.
Something that everybody in the kingdom knew was that the princess loved gardening. That was why she had a large garden outside the castle which was full of many kinds of flowers; roses, tulips, daisies, orchids, and so on. She often spent her time at the garden. She planted a seed, took care of them everyday and smoothly grew them into a beautiful flower. It was like the flowers loved her too. The garden looked very beautiful as the flowers grew.
One day, the king got sick and he died the next week. All the people in Fleur kingdom were really sad. And then it was the time to the princess to lead the kingdom. Even though she was very sad, she wanted her people not to lose their faith. So, she led the kingdom so well but she had to give up most of her time for the people until she did not have time to take care of her flowers. She was feeling lonely without her father and more sad.
There was the time when she finally had time to take a rest. She went to the garden and looked at the flowers that had been withered. She was crying all night long. But in the morning, the sun came up and the ray was brighten her heart. The princess felt warm and she suddenly had the confidence she used to have and she stood up and thanked the sun.
Since then, she got back to her routines where she took care of the flowers. She never felt lonely anymore because when she looked up at the sky, there was the sun shining bright and its existence made her day felt brighter. Every morning, when the sun rose, the princess was seen dancing in the middle of the garden to greet the sun. Even people called her “Princesse du Soleil” or The Sun Princess.
When she died, the Goddess of Flowers who always watched what she had done, turned her into a beautiful flower. This flower shaped like the sun and its crown was looked just like the princess’s crown. And this flower always point to the sun and follow it wherever it goes, until now. We know it as the sunflower.
